A Day in the Life


The IT Support Graduate will join our fantastic Cardiac Rhythm Management team in our Macquarie Park Head Office and gain invaluable skills working with Patient Management software and equipment. The position will involve planning and coordinating deployment activities, which will include kit configuring, customer training, process documentation and support of Medtronic tablets for the use by our customers and teams. The successful individual will need to be highly customer focused and have a strong understanding of Apple iOS, Android OS, networking, MS Office and some coding knowledge.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Undertaking Tablet Program preparation planning activities including training on relevant existing Medtronic processes and procedures and the creation and documentation of new or updated processes and procedures related to the Tablet Program deployment activities.

  • Ensuring Tablet Program deployment activities including documentation, accessory needs and customer-related technical requirements are in place prior to deployment

  • Overseeing Kit, configuration and documentation of tablets including all the appropriate Tablet Applications both Customer and Medtronic-owned.

  • Provision of customer training, application updates, maintenance and troubleshooting as well as asset tagging and documentation

  • IT Support activities including Carelink and Carelink Express back end site set up and troubleshooting; EMR integration set up and network support.

  • Providing periodic reporting and running and maintaining macros which support the Carelink 360 service.

  • Observe all health and safety policies and procedures and take all reasonable care that actions or omissions do not impact on the health and safety of others.

  • Work within and actively promote Medtronic’s core mission, corporate strategies, policies, procedures and Code of Conduct

  • Ensure that the Company’s agreed quality standards (including ISO13485) are maintained about its products, procedures, policies, operations and customer contact

Must Have:

  • Formal tertiary qualifications in Information Technology

  • Strong nous for troubleshooting and problem solving

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.

  • Strong technical skill-set including Apple iOS and Tablets; Android OS and Tablets; Networking; Microsoft Office and Coding knowledge. Preferable languages VB/ Java/ Python

  • Ability to build strong customer (internal and external) relationships throughout a customer organization, at all levels

  • Computer literacy including sound knowledge of the MS Office suite of software

  • Excellent communication skills, team playing skills

  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to cope with changing priorities and deal with a broad variety of tasks concurrently

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Can work autonomously but is also a team player

  • Several jurisdictions across Australia have established mandatory requirements for healthcare workers and others working in health care settings to be vaccinated with at least two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine. To be eligible to apply and be considered for this role, Medtronic Australasia requires candidates to meet the conditions of the relevant and current Government directions (including Public Health Orders). The successful candidate will be required to provide evidence of vaccination before an appointment
